It doesn't work when I try to charge it using USB, and as far as I know, it can't be done. Be interested to see if it was possible, but really do not think it is.

Actually you can buy a USB charger that will work on all Nokia devices. It is super handy and great for using when travelling. Most Nokia stores,etc carry it. See the following URL for the charger. It is model CA-100. http://www.nokia.co.uk/link?cid=EDITORIAL_805718
