PS: when you personally sign an app, it ONLY works for one phone, hence why we all can't just upload a signed version

As the description notes: you must use Symbian developer tools to sign an application. Do a Google search for "How to sign S60 applications" if you want to. Otherwise you'll have to wait for a signed version (see http://www.bysamir.fr/rotateme/).
