Nokia ringtone has classical roots The Nokia Tune is probably one of the most frequently played pieces of music in the world. The company introduced it as a ringtone in 1994 with the Nokia 2100 series, which went on to sell 20 million phones worldwide. Nokia’s target had been 400,000.
